    • ECT Vs IRIS for Cupro Nickel tubes
Dear Experts, Question related to ECT Vs IRIS. EQUIPMENT : Cooling Water Condenser. Shell Side : Propane Tube Side : Sea Cooling Water. MOC : Shell – Carbon Steel ; Tubes – 90/10 CU-NI During exchanger outage chemical cleaning was performed. After chemical cleaning ECT was performed. Total 54 nos tubes was having > 50% upto 100% wall metal loss. IRIS was performed for this tubes with more than 50% loss . Results were contradictory.Inspected tubes were having only max 40 % metal loss. Why there is a contradictory results? To my understanding IRIS is suitable for all metallurgy & in this case cleanliness was not an issue since chemical cleaning was performed. Any one have faces similar issues?

    • In -Service Inspection of cryogenic Tank
We have two cryogenic tanks (double wall) and would like to assess the health of components in between two walls. Outer wall can be accessed and we can take UT but the Bottom plate (between two walls) and inner shell are never accessible. This is sensitive region and in addition if inner shell can also be inspected on-line??

    • Inspection of Tank Shell Plates
We are a specialist Tank and Equipment Cleaning company and many instances during cleaning process customers ask for inspection of tank bottom, shell Roof and associated structures . We are able to support the customer needs by providing Ut thickness checks on other components but tank shell is left out because of approach issues. Is there a technique available where we can approach all the tank shell plates remotely? I have heard that there are crawler system’s available but not sure if the same is available in India or not? Can some one explain more on this application?

    • Query related to API 653 – Patch Repair on the Floating Roof of Tank
Experts, The recommendation is given for the patch repair at 3 location of the floating roof tank. My question is –
      1. Whether we need to do a Vacuum Box testing for the repaired location? The Tank is double deck external floating roof.
      2. If Vacuum Box test is mandatory, is it possible to substitute by any other NDT method?
      3. The welding is done by SMAW with min. 2 pass and the plate thickness is 6 mm CS.
      Regards, Vino

    • Repair of Externally corroded pipelines
Hi, Can anyone briefly explain the methods for repairing the external corroded pipelines. One of our clients has a requirement to repair the pipelines having mil defects and corrosion. Due to the area that these defects are small in size and 50% deep, they would not likely to go for replacement of sections. Also if in case the pipelines have active leaks, is there any technique to repair them online when the leak is present. ?? Waiting for your inputs.
