Smart Drawings provide a rich environment for delivering products and services focused on improving plant safety, on spec production, mechanical integrity and asset performance management. At 1/5th the time and 1/3rd the cost, VisualAIM delivers a standard set of digital process flow and instrument diagrams highlighted with corrosion control loops (systems) and circuits. Once intelligized these smart drawings have unlimited potential enabling the user to display nearly any imaginable data set within a few minutes.
Smart Drawings are available as a cloud-based service or optionally with on premise deployment.

VisualAIM's asset integrity and asset management assessment studies characterizes the plant’s overall performance in Productivity based on the performance in a series of industry recognized financial and non-financial metrics.Individual metrics and metric categories are weighted on the basis of their overall impact on the profitability of the site and compared to more than sixty five (65) benchmarks from our direct experience.

Smart Data Collection, creating the digital file system

The data mining and validation process cost effectively extracts the required data fields from structured and unstructured data creating the "digital library" for the owner operator's fixed equipment reliability program.


Data mining - The OCR engine contains look up tables/templates of various record types, i.e. U-1 forms, construction drawings, Inspection Histories, UT Inspections and Drawings for different asset types and identifies “anchor points” to determine within a level of confidence that a particular document is a U-1 form for a particular heat exchanger. And because the required fields are known for each record and asset type, a U-1 form can be graded to within a percent accuracy and put into data buckets specific to a particular asset i.e. a storage tank, heat exchanger or column. Where gaps exist, a low cost subject matter expert, familiar with say exchanger U1 forms completes any missing data not picked up as part of the OCR process.

Corrosion Engineering

Whether aligning damage mechanisms with an appropriate inspection effectiveness level or facilitating NDE screening to ensure all susceptible damage mechanisms are being inspected for, the VisualAIM software provides the corrosion engineer with the API 581 models for determining damage mechanism susceptibility.
