Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Level - I

Course Objective:

This comprehensive course aims to provide participants with classroom training, examination, and certification for Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Level I qualification, complying with the requirements of ASNT SNT-TC-1A based employer's written practice or the requirements of ISO 9712, depending on the candidate's choice. Upon successful completion, participants will be awarded a Level I certificate, formally qualifying them to conduct ultrasonic examinations on relevant test jobs, following applicable NDT written instructions under the supervision of an NDT Level II or NDT Level III professional.

• Types of Ultrasonic Probes, Probe Operation, and Factors Affecting Probe Selection
• Instrument Operation, Software Setting, and Standardization
• Calibration Block and Couplant Usage
• Equipment Calibration and Verification
• Straight Beam Examination Techniques
• Angle Beam Examination Techniques

Course Duration:

ASNT: 4 days Training (40 hours), 1-day Exam (8 hours)

PCN: 4 days Training (40 hours), 1-day Exam (8 hours)

Who Should Attend:

This course is ideal for technicians, inspectors, and personnel working in industries such as oil refineries, petrochemical plants, ship construction, and other fields where Non-Destructive Testing is essential.

Pre-requirements:

ASNT: Valid vision certificate, Minimum experience of 210 hours in UT, and a total of 400 hours in NDT

PCN: Valid vision certificate, Minimum 3 months of experience in UT

Certification:

• Upon successful completion, participants will receive the following certificates:
• ASNT: Training certificate; Level I certificate (valid for 5 years)
• PCN: Training certificate; Level I certificate issued by BINDT (valid for 5 years)

Course Notes and Equipment:

To facilitate effective learning, we provide course notes, instruments, probes, calibration blocks, and training specimens for practical exercises.

Class Capacity:
