Responsibilities of Certified UT Level III:

Upon achieving Level III certification in Ultrasonic Testing, you will have demonstrated exceptional competence and expertise. Level III personnel possess the following abilities:

• Evaluating and interpreting results by existing standards, codes, and specifications
• Possessing practical knowledge of relevant materials, fabrication, processes, and product technology to select appropriate Ultrasonic Testing methods, establish testing techniques, and assist in establishing acceptance criteria
• Having a general familiarity with other NDT methods
• Assuming full responsibility for the test facility or examination center and its staff
• Establishing, reviewing, and validating Ultrasonic Testing instructions and procedures
• Interpreting codes, standards, specifications, and procedures
• Designating specific Ultrasonic testing methods, techniques, and procedures to be used
• Carrying out all tasks at all levels within the defined scope and limitations of certification
• Guiding Ultrasonic Testing personnel at all levels
• Conducting and supervising PCN qualification examinations on behalf of the British Institute of NDT (BINDT)

Training Duration:

The training duration for PCN L3 UT is 40 hours, to be completed after passing the PCN Basic Exam. Full PCN certification is achieved upon acquiring sufficient experience following the required training hours and successfully passing the examination. For more details, please contact us.

Work Experience Requirement:

• To attain PCN Level III certification in Ultrasonic Testing, a minimum of 36 months of supervised work experience in UT is required at Level II.
• Please note that the duration of work experience is based on a nominal 40-hour workweek or the legal workweek in your region.
