Position Summary:

The Advanced NDT Technician will play a critical role in executing high-level non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection services across high-profile industrial worksites throughout Australia. Based at the head office in Bibra Lake, Perth, the successful candidate will work within a dynamic team and be responsible for autonomously carrying out advanced testing procedures—particularly in PAUT and TOFD—while also applying Level 2 certified methodologies in MT, PT, and UT. The role demands adaptability, technical expertise, and a commitment to upholding the highest standards of quality and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities:

  • Execute non-destructive testing using PAUT and TOFD methodologies at Level 2 standards, ensuring accurate and reliable results.
  • Utilize additional NDT methods, including Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), and Ultrasonic Testing (UT), to assess the integrity of industrial assets.
  • Ensure all inspection, testing, and QA/QC activities adhere to the latest regulatory requirements and company protocols.
  • Work independently on high-profile projects across multiple sites, while also collaborating with a team of high-caliber technicians.
  • Document findings, prepare detailed technical reports, and provide insights to support maintenance and operational decisions.
  • Manage a flexible schedule with consistent work both locally in Perth and on various projects nationwide.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of relevant work experience in non-destructive testing within industrial settings.
  • Proven ability to perform PAUT and TOFD methods autonomously with substantial experience.
  • Experience in working on high-profile worksites and adapting to varied project environments.
  • Strong technical aptitude coupled with an in-depth understanding of regulatory standards and quality assurance processes.
  • Willingness to travel frequently for work assignments across Australia.

Qualifications:

  • Certification in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) – Level 2 PCN/AINDT
  • Certification in Penetrant Testing (PT) – Level 2 PCN/AINDT
  • Certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) – Level 2 PCN/AINDT
  • Certification in Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) – Level 2 PCN/AINDT, with significant autonomous testing experience
  • Certification in Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) – Level 2 PCN/AINDT, with substantial experience in autonomous application
