Advanced NDT Technician

Position Summary:

Bilfinger Belgium & Netherlands is seeking an experienced Allround (A)NDT Researcher (Advanced NDT Technician) to join its dynamic NDO team. The role involves alternating between onshore work throughout the Netherlands and offshore assignments, performing standard and advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) operations. The successful candidate will maintain customer relationships with the inspection and work preparation departments and contribute to customer-specific solutions in service projects, including CUI programs and Rope Access operations.

Responsibilities:

Inspection & Testing:

• Manage and perform standard NDO and advanced NDO inspections on various components using techniques such as RT and other level 2 NDT methods.
• Execute non-destructive testing procedures on offshore and onshore projects, ensuring adherence to quality and safety standards.
• Utilize Rope Access for specific inspection tasks as required.

Customer Coordination & Project Management:

• Maintain regular contact with customers, particularly the inspection and work preparation departments, to coordinate project requirements and ensure clarity on technical objectives.
• Provide timely feedback on inspection results, including any detected deviations or potential failures, to support proactive decision-making.

Technical Analysis & Reporting:

• Analyze inspection data and research outcomes using techniques like ACFM, Phased Array, ToFD, and Thermografie (where applicable) to determine the integrity and condition of materials.
• Prepare detailed reports on inspection findings, ensuring all data is recorded in accordance with internal standards and ISO 9712 guidelines.

Team Collaboration & Development:

• Work closely with colleagues within the young, progressive NDO department, contributing to a collaborative environment that prioritizes customer-specific solutions.
• Continuously develop technical competencies with support from internal training and competency development initiatives.

Requirements:

• Results-oriented with a strong focus on quality and customer service.
• Empathetic, proactive, and accurate in work execution.
• Independent with a drive for personal growth and professional development.
• Excellent communication skills in both Dutch and English (oral and written).
• Possession of offshore papers and a solid ISO 9712 certification.
• Several years of hands-on experience in NDT, demonstrating expertise as an all-round NDT specialist.

Qualifications:

• Proven expertise in standard NDT methods at Level 2, including Rope Access and Radiographic Testing (RT).
• Preferred experience or exposure in additional NDT techniques such as ACFM, Phased Array, ToFD, and Thermografie.
• A track record of delivering results in diverse environments, both onshore and offshore.
