Position Summary:
This temporary, contract position requires an experienced Mechanical Integrity Inspector to conduct inspections on vessels, piping, and tanks during a 10-day turnaround in March. The inspector will perform non-destructive testing (NDT) to ensure components and materials meet applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The role demands expertise in multiple NDT methods, strong communication skills, and the ability to work a demanding, flexible schedule in a safety-focused environment.
Responsibilities:
- Conducts non-destructive testing (NDT) of components and materials according to codes, standards, and procedures.
- Utilizes appropriate NDT methods, including API 510/570/653, magnetic particle, liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, leak testing, and visual inspections.
- Selects, prepares, loads, calibrates, and operates NDT equipment.
- Identifies material defects using suitable testing techniques.
- Completes accurate documentation, work orders, and reports within specified timeframes.
- Drives company vehicles and maintains a safe driving record.
- Adheres to and promotes safety regulations, policies, and procedures.
- Interacts professionally with customers and co-workers.
- Performs general cleaning and minor maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
- Maintains clean and organized shop areas.
- Performs other assigned duties.
Requirements:
- Expertise in multiple NDT methods.
- Intermediate mechanical knowledge and aptitude.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work demanding and flexible schedules, including long hours and call-outs.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds and occasionally up to 150 pounds with assistance.
- Ability to climb, work at heights, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and reach.
- Ability to stand for long periods, walk, push, pull, and perform repetitive motions.
- Ability to work in confined spaces and extreme temperatures.
- Visual acuity, including close-range and distance vision.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Valid driver’s license and insurability.
- Certification in one or more NDT methods (RT, UT, MT).
- API 510/570 certification.
- Demonstrated NDT skill, knowledge, or experience.
