Position Summary:

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a highly skilled NDT Advanced Services API Inspector to perform inspections on designated equipment in accordance with API standards. This role is critical in ensuring mechanical integrity, recommending and approving repairs, and certifying compliance. The inspector will work in industrial plant environments, conducting internal and external equipment inspections while maintaining detailed documentation and reports.

The successful candidate must possess a valid API certification and have the ability to travel between job sites (0% - 75% travel required).

Responsibilities:

Inspection & Compliance:

  • Conduct internal and external inspections on fixed equipment to maintain mechanical integrity.
  • Recommend and approve repairs based on inspection findings.
  • Perform visual inspections of completed repair work to verify compliance.
  • Ensure that inspections align with API standards and industry regulations.

Safety & Environment:

  • Adhere to TEAM’s safety policies and procedures to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Identify and communicate potential hazards to team members and clients.
  • Maintain compliance with legal and company safety standards while on-site.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Write detailed inspection and turnaround reports, maintaining accurate records of all activities.
  • Complete and file all customer and company job-related documentation in a timely manner.
  • Assist in scheduling and coordinating inspection-related activities.

Client Communication & Professionalism:

  • Interact professionally with clients, supervisors, and other personnel to maintain a high level of service.
  • Represent TEAM, Inc. in a professional and positive manner while on-site.
  • Communicate effectively with customers in-person at plant/job sites to ensure clarity in inspection procedures and findings.

Training & Development:

  • Complete all required training programs within company guidelines.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, safety procedures, and new inspection techniques.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
  • Technical school training or industry-related education (Preferred).
  • Previous industry experience in NDT or plant inspections (Preferred).
  • Valid API certification (Required).
  • Valid driver’s license (Required).
  • Ability to travel between job sites (0% - 75% travel required).

Work Conditions:

  • Position based out of a branch or site location.
  • Duties require indoor and outdoor work in plant/refinery environments.
  • Exposure to extreme noise levels and operating production machinery.
  • May involve working at elevated heights, confined spaces, and climbing ladders/stairwells.
  • Must be able to wear all required safety equipment as mandated by company/client guidelines.
  • Climate variations may require work in different weather conditions throughout the day.
  • Possible periodic out-of-town travel based on project needs.

Physical & Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Must be able to walk, climb, and maneuver within refinery/plant environments.
  • Sufficient speech, hearing, and vision (with or without reasonable accommodations) to communicate effectively and conduct investigations.
  • Ability to multitask, focus, and maintain attention to detail in a dynamic work environment.
  • Strong manual dexterity and physical mobility to navigate complex job sites.
