Position Summary:

Acuren is seeking a skilled Digital Radiographer Technician to join their team in Cincinnati, OH. This position involves performing nondestructive testing (NDT) using digital radiography (DR) and other inspection methods in a lab setting. The technician will be responsible for setting up and calibrating testing equipment, conducting tests to detect defects, interpreting radiographs, and organizing and reporting test results. The role offers opportunities for growth, and Acuren is also offering relocation assistance for qualified applicants.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment for digital radiography inspections.
  • Conduct tests to ensure quality and detect defects (discontinuities) in materials or objects using NDT inspection methods.
  • Establish proper examination techniques for inspected objects, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria according to applicable specifications or standards and evaluate the results.
  • Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) outputs, digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
  • Organize, report, and document test results clearly and accurately.
  • Perform specialized inspections as required.
  • Instruct and supervise others as needed, providing guidance on NDT methods and practices.
  • Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

  • NAS-410 certification is required.
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
  • Level II certification in CR (Conventional Radiography), DR (Digital Radiography), or CT (Computed Tomography) is a must.
  • Experience with Carestream, Rhythm Review, and Volume Graphics software is a plus.
  • Strong technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
  • Knowledge of NDT equipment and techniques.
  • Experience in report writing and document management.
