Position Summary:

Acuren is seeking an experienced NDT Level II/Heat Treat Technician to support operations in Orlando, FL. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting nondestructive testing (NDT) to ensure quality and detect defects in various industrial settings, including Corn/Agricultural, Chemical, Pulp & Paper, Gas Plants, Refineries, and Pharmaceuticals. This position requires the ability to travel up to 75% throughout FL, AL, GA, and SC. The technician will play a key role in evaluating the structural integrity of critical energy and industrial infrastructures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate NDT equipment for testing purposes.
  • Conduct NDT tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) in materials.
  • Establish proper examination techniques and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
  • Apply testing criteria in accordance with specifications or standards and evaluate results.
  • Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
  • Organize and report test results in a clear and comprehensive manner.
  • Perform specialized inspections as required.
  • May instruct and supervise others as part of the team.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Job Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (some college preferred).
  • Certified Level II RT/MT/PT/UTT (Radiographic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Penetrant Testing, Ultrasonic Testing).
  • Heat Treatment certification.
  • Technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results.
  • Strong knowledge of NDT equipment and inspection techniques.
  • Experience in writing detailed inspection reports.
