Inspection Engineer

Position Summary:

Bureau Veritas Group is seeking a skilled Inspection Engineer for a full-time, on-site role in Karachi. The ideal candidate will have expertise in stationary equipment inspection, report generation, and drawing piping and equipment isometrics. This position requires strong technical skills, a commitment to maintaining accurate inspection histories, and the ability to work effectively in the oil and gas industry during construction or operational phases.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct inspections on stationary equipment, including heat exchangers, pressure vessels, air coolers, columns, furnaces, stacks, boilers, reactors, tanks, filters, and piping.
• Upload inspection reports and maintain records using ANTEA software.
• Create detailed sketches of equipment and piping isometrics both manually and using ANTEA software.
• Maintain comprehensive records and histories of inspections.
• Develop isometric sketches of piping and equipment using AutoCAD.

Requirements:

• Basic Qualification: Bachelor’s degree (BE/BS) in Mechanical Engineering.
• Experience: 2 to 3 years in the oil and gas industry, with experience during construction or operational phases of a running plant.

Qualifications:

• Adequate knowledge of stationary equipment inspection processes and tools.
• Proficiency in using ANTEA software for uploading reports and drawing sketches.
• Strong understanding of AutoCAD for creating isometric piping and equipment drawings.
• Detail-oriented with excellent record-keeping skills.
• Ability to work effectively in fast-paced, team-oriented environments.
