Position Summary: 

MISTRAS Group, Inc. is seeking qualified NDT (Nondestructive Testing) Technicians to join their team at the WA office. The Level II NDT Technician will be responsible for performing inspections using a variety of NDT methods, including ultrasound, penetrant, magnetic particle, radiography, and radiographic safety. This full-time role offers an opportunity for skilled professionals to contribute to ensuring safety and quality while advancing in their careers within a dynamic work environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT inspections using two or more methods (Ultrasound, Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Radiography, Rad Safety) in compliance with company standards and customer requirements.
  • Interpret test results and provide accurate documentation of findings.
  • Ensure all inspections are performed safely, meeting MISTRAS’s high standards for quality and environmental protection.
  • Maintain and manage quality assurance documents, including proof of classroom training, previous certifications, and on-the-job training (OJT) documentation.
  • Comply with safety regulations, ensuring the safe use and maintenance of NDT equipment.
  • Participate in continuous improvement and professional development opportunities, working toward additional certifications and technical proficiency.
  • Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians as needed.
  • Maintain certification in relevant NDT methods and work with management to keep certifications up to date.
  • Communicate inspection results and procedures clearly to both internal team members and customers.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment, addressing safety, quality, and operational concerns proactively.

Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma, GED, or Degree required.
  • Minimum experience and certifications in two NDT methods (Ultrasound, Penetrant, Magnetic Particle, Radiography, Rad Safety).
  • Previous Level I/II certifications and on-the-job training (OJT) required.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical data accurately.
  • Good communication skills to interact effectively with customers and team members.
  • Ability to follow safety protocols and ensure that inspections are completed without risk to personnel or equipment.

Requirements:

  • Must provide QA documentation, including proof of classroom hours/training and certifications.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be willing to travel to job sites as needed.
  • Ability to work in varying environmental conditions, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Strong understanding of NDT methods and the ability to operate relevant testing equipment.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds, as well as the physical capability to perform fieldwork.
  • Compliance with MISTRAS safety protocols and personal accountability in all aspects of work.
