Position Summary:
Applus+ is seeking an experienced NDT Technician to join its marine department based out of the head office in Bibra Lake, Perth. This full-time role involves conducting inspections across high-profile worksites throughout Australia as well as local operations in Perth. The successful candidate will work under an industry-leading EBA and alongside highly skilled technicians, making this an excellent opportunity to become part of the Applus+ team.
Responsibilities:
The NDT Technician will be responsible for carrying out inspection and testing services in alignment with Applus+ standards and client requirements. The role involves performing a range of non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques and ensuring compliance with classification surveys for ABS, Lloyds Register, and DNV. Additionally, the technician will be expected to provide high-quality inspection services on marine hulls and various vessels, including FPSOs, FLNGs, and support vessels. The position requires efficient use of class survey reporting software to document and communicate findings effectively.
Requirements:
Applicants must have demonstrated technical abilities and relevant qualifications in non-destructive testing, such as Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Penetrant Testing (PT), Radiographic Testing (RT), and Eddy Current Testing (ET). A minimum of 2-3 years of relevant work experience is required. Working knowledge of marine hull inspection and experience conducting NDT on various types of vessels is essential. Proficiency in classification survey reporting software is desirable.
Qualifications:
Candidates must hold relevant NDT certifications and have practical experience applying these methods within the marine industry. Strong knowledge of classification surveys and their application in marine environments is advantageous.
