Position Summary:

Acuren Inspection is seeking motivated and dependable Entry-Level NDT Assistants to join its team in Monticello, MN. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to begin their career in nondestructive testing (NDT) while supporting Acuren’s operations. The NDT Assistant will assist in setting up and utilizing NDT equipment, assisting Radiographers with calibration and testing, and recording inspection results. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and a commitment to safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities:

  • Set up and utilize nondestructive testing (NDT) equipment.
  • Assist Radiographers in calibrating NDT equipment to ensure proper functionality.
  • Assist in conducting tests to detect discontinuities (defects) and ensure quality through NDT methods of inspection.
  • Record and document inspection results accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Help perform NDT procedures and carry out other operations as required.
  • Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management, with flexibility to handle varying work assignments and schedules.

Requirements:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Technical background or interest in the field is preferred.
  • 40-hour Radiation Safety certification is a plus.
  • Ability to meet the necessary qualifications and certifications to be considered trustworthy and reliable, in compliance with federal and state regulations, as determined by a background check.
  • Clean motor vehicle driving record that meets company standards for driving company vehicles.
