NDT Engineer / Technician

Position Summary:

Applus+ Asia Middle East and Africa is seeking a skilled NDT Engineer / Technician to execute non-destructive testing (NDT) operations with precision and technical expertise. The role involves ensuring compliance with safety regulations, interpreting test results, and preparing detailed reports. The successful candidate will also act as a company representative at client sites, providing expertise and maintaining strong client relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Execute non-destructive testing (NDT) operations.
• Provide technical expertise on NDT matters to Operations and Project teams.
• Establish and implement proper techniques for examining objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with applicable codes, standards, specifications, or procedures.
• Prepare comprehensive reports on NDT results.
• Select, calibrate, and operate NDT equipment for product or material testing.
• Review client specifications and scopes of work, prepare detailed NDT procedures, and develop inspection plans to ensure maximum productivity and quality.
• Maintain proper documentation for inspection work packs, technical documents, raw data, and client-provided materials in dedicated project and reporting folders.
• Continuously improve skills through cross-training in additional advanced NDT (ANDT) methods offered by the company.
• Act as the company’s representative at client sites, liaising with clients on daily site activities and progress.
• Perform any other ad-hoc duties assigned by the company.

Requirements:

• Proven experience in non-destructive testing (NDT) operations.
• Technical expertise in NDT methods and familiarity with codes, standards, and safety regulations.
• Strong analytical skills for interpreting test results and developing inspection plans.
• Ability to liaise effectively with clients and coordinate site activities.
• Commitment to maintaining proper documentation and reporting practices.
• Willingness to cross-train and expand expertise in advanced NDT methods.

Qualifications:

• Certification or relevant training in non-destructive testing methods (specific NDT certification levels as required).
• Proficiency in operating and calibrating NDT equipment.
• Strong understanding of client specifications, inspection scopes, and quality standards.
