- Analyze CR images to assess the nature, severity, and significance of detected defects in line with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Document findings precisely, including details on defect location, size, orientation, and any other relevant contextual information.
- Generate comprehensive inspection reports summarizing findings, interpretations, and recommendations for further action.
Stakeholder Communication and Collaboration:
- Effectively communicate inspection results and necessary follow-up actions with clients, engineers, supervisors, and other stakeholders.
- Collaborate with radiographers, technicians, and engineers to optimize inspection workflows and outcomes.
Quality Assurance and Compliance:
- Ensure strict adherence to quality assurance procedures and protocols during the inspection and interpretation processes.
- Interpret relevant codes, standards, and contractual documents that govern the NDT methods used.
Site Audits and Continuous Improvement:
- Conduct site audits as required, ensuring projects are completed according to specifications and professional standards.
- Record and report non-conformances to the operations manager to support continuous process improvement.
Safety and Environmental Practices:
- Follow Oceaneering’s Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality Systems rigorously.
- Contribute to efforts aimed at eliminating waste and promoting environmentally friendly practices.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 5 years’ practical NDT experience using methods including Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), and Radiographic Testing (RT).
- Proven expertise in radiographic film interpretation and other NDT techniques in an oil and gas environment.
- Strong grasp of radiographic testing principles, industry standards (e.g., ASTM, ASME), and relevant specifications.
- Excellent analytical and detail-oriented skills with a commitment to quality and safety.
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to clearly articulate technical findings and recommendations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in an Engineering discipline (e.g., Mechanical, Corrosion, Materials, or Metallurgy Engineering).
- Possession of NDT Level II certification in MT, PT, UT, and RT.
- Experience with GE Rhythm software is preferred.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and foster strong relationships with clients and team members.
