NDT Level II Radiographers

Position Summary:

Mistras Group is seeking Level II Radiographers (NDT) to join its Auburn, MA office. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting nondestructive testing (NDT) inspections using radiographic techniques while ensuring compliance with industry standards and client requirements. This position requires attention to detail, strong technical expertise, and adaptability to changing job assignments, including occasional out-of-town and overnight travel.

Candidates with additional NDT certifications in MT (Magnetic Testing), PT (Penetrant Testing), and UT (Ultrasonic Testing) and five years of NDT experience are preferred but not required.

Responsibilities:

• Conduct radiographic testing (RT) inspections to detect flaws and discontinuities in materials and structures.
• Interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with industry codes, customer specifications, and regulatory standards.
• Ensure compliance with all safety procedures and use appropriate protective equipment.
• Maintain accurate and detailed records of inspections, test results, and documentation for quality assurance (QA) purposes.
• Communicate effectively with clients, supervisors, and team members to ensure smooth operations.
• Follow precise technical directions and procedures as outlined by the project requirements.
• Adapt to an ever-changing schedule and respond to short-notice work assignments.
• Maintain and calibrate NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
• Travel to various job sites as required, including out-of-town and overnight assignments.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED/Degree required).
• Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC) required.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to read and interpret technical documents and engineering specifications (Preferred).
• Strong analytical skills to follow precise inspection procedures and identify nonconformities.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 55 pounds as part of regular field duties.
• Willingness to work in plant and refinery environments, which may include exposure to extreme noise levels, outdoor elements, and changing climates.
• Must be able to wear safety equipment as required by company policies and client requirements.

Qualifications:

• Proof of classroom hours/training related to NDT.
• Previous Level I/II certifications & on-the-job training (OJT) documentation.
