Position Summary:

Applied Technical Services, LLC (ATS) is seeking both NDT Level II Technicians and NDT Assistants/Trainees to support their Grimesland/Raleigh, NC office. ATS, a leading provider of critical testing, inspection, certification, and compliance services, offers opportunities for both experienced technicians and those looking to begin a career in non-destructive testing. Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Performs material examinations according to procedures, codes, standards, and specifications.
  • Demonstrates thorough familiarity with the scope and limitations of qualified NDT methods.
  • Exercises responsibility for on-the-job training and guidance of trainees.
  • Interfaces with department managers and clients to determine work scope and priorities.
  • Prepares written instructions and organizes and reports examination results.
  • Works independently and supports team members.
  • Performs other job-related tasks as assigned by supervisors.

Requirements:

  • Ability to learn and comply with all company policies and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to pass a drug screen and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • U.S. Person status due to U.S. export control regulations.
  • Ability to wear safety equipment.
  • Ability to work from heights and in confined spaces.
  • Ability to work around operating equipment and industrial environments.
  • Ability to work with radiation and hazardous materials.
  • Ability to work shifts up to 12 hours/day and 7 days/week and travel for extended periods.
  • Ability to lift and carry 100 pounds.

Qualifications:

  • Meets the minimum requirements of an NDT Assistant/Trainee.
  • Provides documentation of education, training, and experience in applicable NDT methods.
  • Working knowledge of industrial environments and general manufacturing processes.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with other departments and customers.
