Position Summary:
TEAM, Inc. is seeking an experienced NDT Rope Access Level III Technician to join its team. The technician will be responsible for performing standard rope access operations under the direct supervision of an authorized Level 3 rope access supervisor. Using Industrial Rope Access methods and related equipment, the technician will complete a variety of inspection, maintenance, and industrial tasks in hard-to-reach areas or heights. The role will also include performing rescue operations, creating technical reports, and handling administrative duties. The nature of the work assignments, locations, and shifts may vary, and travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Adhere to company and customer safety standards and legal regulations, maintaining a safe and secure environment.
- Perform duties as assigned while following TEAM's Core Values and 7 Critical Choices.
- Utilize proper personal protective equipment and follow safety procedures at all times.
- Follow directions from the Rope Access Supervisor or Rope Access Lead Technician.
- Demonstrate a healthy respect for heights and adhere to OSHA, site-specific, and TEAM safety procedures.
- Participate in job hazard analyses and understand work permits.
- Engage in required training and rope access certification sessions, maintaining a working understanding of safe rope access practices.
- Inspect and verify rope access systems and components before use.
- Recognize worksite hazards and notify the Rope Access Supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
- Maintain proficiency in rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed, in accordance with certification level.
Job Qualifications:
- Minimum of a High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum age of 18 years.
- IRATA / SPRAT certification.
- NDT/NDE certification is preferred.
- Ability to work at height.
- Travel required.
Work Conditions:
- Outdoor field duties in plant environments with varying weather conditions.
- Interaction with crew employees, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Work in environments with extreme noise levels, such as production machinery areas.
- Must wear required safety equipment for personal protection.
- May be at more than one job site per day and must tolerate climate changes.
- Periodic out-of-town travel may be required.
Physical and Mental Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms, legs, and body, such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
- May involve setting up inspection equipment with a maximum component weight of approximately 50 lbs.
- Ability to climb ladders, stairs, scaffolding, and objects in excess of 100 ft.
- Ability to work extended hours and stand for prolonged periods.
- Work in both indoor and outdoor environments in extreme heat and/or cold.
- Ability to work in and near industrial hazards.
- Ability to walk, climb, and perform field duties as needed.
- Clear speech and hearing, or the ability to communicate effectively with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform office duties and travel to off-site locations when necessary.
- Ability to focus and multitask effectively.
- Exhibits responsible and sensible behavior.
- Must meet IRATA/SPRAT certification requirements.
