Position Summary:
NDTS India (P) Limited is looking for a skilled and dedicated NDT Technician to join their team in Navi Mumbai. The technician will be responsible for conducting non-destructive testing (NDT) on materials and structures using various techniques such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MPT), liquid penetrant testing, and radiographic testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in NDT methods and equipment, an understanding of industry standards, and the ability to accurately interpret test results to ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
Responsibilities:
- Perform non-destructive testing (NDT) on materials and structures using various NDT techniques, including ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MPT), liquid penetrant testing, and radiographic testing.
- Interpret test results and prepare detailed reports outlining findings.
- Collaborate with clients and internal teams to understand inspection requirements and ensure compliance with industry standards.
- Calibrate and maintain NDT equipment to ensure accurate and reliable test results.
- Adhere to safety regulations and company policies while performing testing procedures.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and inspectors.
- Conduct research and development activities aimed at improving inspection techniques and processes.
- Participate in continuous training and professional development opportunities to enhance NDT knowledge and skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Certification in NDT methods such as ultrasonic testing (UT), magnetic particle testing (MPT), liquid penetrant testing, and radiographic testing.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in performing NDT inspections.
- Strong knowledge of industry standards and practices related to NDT.
- Proficiency in operating NDT equipment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret test results accurately and generate detailed reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Strong commitment to safety and compliance.
Qualification:
- Nondestructive Testing (NDT) expertise
- Proficiency in Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MPT), and Liquid Penetrant Testing (LPT)
- Certification from ASNT (American Society for Nondestructive Testing) or equivalent organizations
- Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD for documentation and reporting
- Strong background in Mechanical Engineering
