NDT Technician

Position Summary:

Applus+ is seeking experienced NDT Technicians and AICIP/API Inspectors to join its team for onshore inspection work in Victoria, Australia. This full-time contract position requires a minimum commitment of 35 hours per week while on duty. Preference will be given to candidates currently based in Victoria, with a particular focus on those in the Gippsland and Mornington regional areas. The role will involve conducting statutory inspections, liaising with inspection personnel, and ensuring compliance with applicable industry standards and client policies.

Responsibilities:

Inspection Technician Duties:

• Conduct statutory inspections and generate detailed reports in a timely manner.
• Ensure adherence to industry standards and client policies.
• Provide technical feedback and support to the engineering department.
• Conduct audits and reviews to uphold quality assurance.
• Collaborate with NDT personnel for seamless execution of inspections.
• Contribute to shutdown planning activities.
• Identify opportunities for process improvement and work alongside clients to implement enhancements.

NDT Technician Duties:

• Ensure compliance with relevant standards and regulations.
• Provide assistance and feedback to the engineering team.
• Conduct audits and assessments to ensure inspection integrity.
• Coordinate with inspection personnel for efficient execution of projects.
• Support shutdown planning and execution.
• Recognize areas for improvement and collaborate with clients to enhance operations.

Requirements:

• Must be based in Victoria, Australia, preferably in the Gippsland and Mornington regional areas.
• In-depth knowledge of inspection standards, statutory regulations, and industry best practices.
• Proven competency in applicable inspection methods.
• Specialization in at least one of the following: Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), or Eddy Current Testing (ET).
• Surface method expertise is essential.
• IRATA Level 1 Rope Access Certification is mandatory.
• MSIC Certification is required.

For Inspection Technicians:

• AICIP/Senior AICIP Certification or API 510 & 570 qualification.
• IRATA Level 1.
• MSIC Certification.

For NDT Technicians:

• MT Level 2 PCN/AINDT (ISO 9712).
• PT Level 2 PCN/AINDT (ISO 9712).
• UT Level 2 PCN/AINDT (ISO 9712).
• ET Level 2 PCN/AINDT (ISO 9712).
• RT CR/DR Level 2 PCN/AINDT (ISO 9712).
• PA/TOFD Level 2 (Advanced Technicians) (ISO 9712).
• LRUT/PEC/MFL/Tube Inspection-Testing.
• IRATA Level 1.
• MSIC Certification.
