Offshore Mechanical Integrity Technician

Position Summary:

Acuren Inspection is seeking a skilled and certified NDT Technician Level II to support its Mechanical Integrity operations in Broussard, LA. This position primarily involves offshore work, requiring expertise in nondestructive testing methods to assess the integrity of critical infrastructure. The technician will be responsible for conducting inspections, interpreting test results, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and safety regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality and detect discontinuities (defects) using various NDT methods.
• Establish proper examination techniques while ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications and standards, evaluating results accordingly.
• Interpret radiographs, cathode ray tube (CRT) or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
• Organize and report test results with accuracy and consistency.
• Perform specialized inspections as required.
• Supervise and instruct other personnel when necessary.
• Perform additional job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Offshore experience required.
• SPRAT/IRATA certification preferred.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; some college education preferred.
• Certified Level II in nondestructive testing methods.
• Strong technical background in NDT procedures and methodologies.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively conduct inspections and interpret results.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment and its applications.
• Experience in report writing and documentation.
