Position Summary:

Apave is seeking a Pressure Equipment Technician to join its Evry (91) agency. This role is instrumental in ensuring the safety and compliance of pressure equipment across various industries. The successful candidate will be responsible for regulatory inspections, periodic requalifications, and technical assessments of pressure equipment, helping clients maintain compliance with current safety regulations and standards.

Additionally, the Pressure Equipment Technician will play a key role in customer relations and service development, ensuring strong communication and technical expertise to support clients effectively.

Responsibilities:

Technical Duties:

  • Conduct regulatory inspections and periodic requalifications of pressure equipment, including boilers, gas and steam containers, autoclaves, and metal inspection.
  • Perform visual examinations, testing, and safety assessments to ensure compliance with applicable regulations.
  • Prepare and complete all necessary documentation related to regulatory operations.
  • Provide detailed technical reports, identifying potential risks and recommending corrective actions for clients.
  • Ensure all inspections and operations comply with current safety standards and regulatory requirements.

Customer Relations & Business Development:

  • Actively contribute to the commercial development of inspection services.
  • Maintain and develop strong professional relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Provide expert guidance and advice to clients regarding safety compliance and inspection procedures.
  • Support business growth by promoting Apave's inspection services within the industry.

Requirements:

Educational Background:

  • Higher education in boilermaking, mechanical engineering, or maintenance (e.g., Vocational Baccalaureate, BTS ROC (Realization of Industrial Boilermaking Works) or BTS CRCI (Design and Production of Industrial Boiler Structures)).

Experience:

  • Initial experience in new equipment installation, operation, or maintenance of pressure equipment is highly desirable.

Technical Skills & Qualities:

  • Strong technical acumen and hands-on approach to inspections and maintenance.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with clients and provide professional guidance.
  • Attention to detail, analytical mindset, and methodical approach to inspections.
  • Ability to work independently and manage inspection schedules effectively.

Additional Requirements:

  • Possession of a valid Category B driver’s license (Essential).
  • Willingness to travel within a defined geographic area to perform inspections.
