Position Summary:

TEAM, Inc. is seeking a Level I Rope Access Technician to join their team and assist in performing inspection, maintenance, and other industrial tasks using rope access methods. This role requires working under the direct supervision of a Level 3 Rope Access Supervisor or Lead Technician. The technician will work in challenging environments such as high places or difficult access areas while adhering to safety protocols and performing physical tasks. This role may also involve rescue operations, technical reporting, and other administrative responsibilities. The position requires physical strength, communication skills, and the ability to absorb new information. Travel and varying work shifts are required for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy work environment by adhering to company and customer safety standards and legal regulations. Alert others to potential hazards or concerns.
  • Perform all duties as assigned while adhering to TEAM’s Core Values and 7 Critical Choices.
  • Utilize proper personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
  • Follow the direction of the Rope Access Supervisor or Lead Technician.
  • Display a healthy respect for heights and follow all OSHA, site-specific, and TEAM safety procedures.
  • Understand and participate in job hazard analyses and work permits.
  • Participate in required training, rope access certification sessions, and maintain a working understanding of safe rope access practices.
  • Work in accordance with TEAM's rope access policies and the Rope Access Code of Practice.
  • Inspect and verify rope access systems and components before use.
  • Recognize worksite hazards and notify the Rope Access Supervisor of any unsafe conditions.
  • Maintain proficiency in rescue techniques and assist in rescues as directed and in accordance with certification level.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum age of 18 years.
  • IRATA or SPRAT Level I certification required.
  • NDT/NDE certification is preferred.
  • Ability to work at heights.
  • Travel may be required for job assignments.
  • Must adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.

Qualifications:

  • IRATA or SPRAT Level I certification in Rope Access.
  • NDT or NDE certification is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Ability to perform physically demanding work at heights, including climbing, balancing, and carrying equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills to follow directions and report hazards.
  • Ability to maintain focus and multitask effectively in challenging environments.
  • Physical fitness to lift and carry up to 75 pounds, move inspection equipment, and work in difficult conditions.
  • Ability to work long hours and in extreme temperatures, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Sufficient personal mobility and physical reflexes to perform tasks and travel as required.
