Position Summary:

Acuren is seeking a highly motivated and skilled NDT RT Level 2 Technician to join our team in the Pacific Region, specifically in Prince George and surrounding areas. The role involves performing radiographic inspections to detect internal flaws in various materials and components while adhering to the highest standards of safety, quality, and professionalism. Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and set up radiographic testing equipment, including X-ray or gamma-ray sources, detectors, and imaging devices.
  • Calibrate equipment to ensure compliance with industry standards and achieve accurate results.
  • Conduct radiographic inspections on materials and components such as welds, castings, and structural parts to identify internal flaws or defects.
  • Analyze radiographic images to evaluate and document findings, including detailed descriptions of anomalies or defects and their potential impact.
  • Provide recommendations for further action, such as repairs or re-testing, based on inspection results.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality objectives while adhering to project timelines.
  • Maintain positive relationships with clients through effective communication, teamwork, and professionalism.
  • Follow established standards and procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of results.

Qualifications:

  • CGSB RT Level 2 Certification.
  • CEDO Certification.
  • Additional certifications are considered an asset.
  • IRATA training or willingness to obtain is an asset.

Requirements:

  • Strong work ethic and commitment to safety and quality.
  • Exceptional problem-solving and time-management skills.
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work at a high technical and performance level.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive working relationships with clients.
