Position Summary:
Acuren is seeking an experienced NDT Level II RT Technician to join their team in Minden, LA. This role will involve performing non-destructive testing (NDT) using radiographic testing (RT) methods to ensure the quality and integrity of critical infrastructure. The ideal candidate will have strong technical expertise in NDT methods, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to effectively interpret and report inspection results. The NDT Level II RT Technician will be responsible for setting up and calibrating NDT equipment, conducting tests, and ensuring that all inspections adhere to safety standards and regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate NDT equipment for radiographic testing (RT) to perform inspections.
- Conduct tests to detect discontinuities (defects) in materials and components to ensure quality.
- Establish inspection techniques for proper examination, adhering to strict safety regulations.
- Apply testing criteria in accordance with relevant specifications or standards and evaluate the results.
- Interpret radiographs, CRT or digital readouts, conductivity meters, and visual indicators.
- Organize and report the results of inspections clearly and accurately.
- Perform specialized inspections as needed to meet project requirements.
- Instruct and supervise other technicians as required to ensure quality and compliance.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education is preferred.
- Certified Level II in NDT with a focus on radiographic testing (RT).
- Strong technical background in NDT methods and procedures.
- Proven ability to perform NDT tasks effectively and interpret inspection results.
- Knowledge and experience in operating NDT equipment.
- Experience in writing inspection reports and documenting findings.
- Strong communication skills for reporting results and collaborating with team members.
