  • Position Summary:

Aramco is seeking an experienced Senior Inspection Specialist to join the Western Region Distribution Department, which supplies refined products such as diesel, jet fuel, and gasoline to local markets. This role is critical to ensuring the integrity and reliability of equipment, pipelines, and storage tanks through comprehensive inspection and testing programs. The successful candidate will oversee welding and non-destructive testing (NDT) initiatives, participate in risk-based studies, and ensure compliance with Aramco's inspection systems and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct external and internal inspections of storage tanks, pressure vessels, and pipelines before and after Turnaround & Inspection (T&I).
  • Inspect in-service equipment, including vessels, piping, and tanks.
  • Record pre- and post-inspection results and report any deviations in the SAIF/SAP system.
  • Oversee fabrication work, including welding and coatings.
  • Inspect sleeve installations in tanks and piping.
  • Review and propose NDT methods and inspection procedures.
  • Analyze NDT results to identify defects and recommend repairs or replacements.
  • Participate in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and other technical discussions.
  • Maintain and update records and historical data for static equipment and piping.
  • Verify and approve repair activities on static equipment and piping.
  • Conduct annual surveys and other field inspections per corporate programs.
  • Participate in Risk-Based Inspection (RBI) studies.
  • Develop and review mechanical inspection procedures and best practices.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited program.
  • A minimum of 12 years of experience in inspection, including at least 8 years in service inspection and shutdown experience.
  • Certified in the following:

API-510

API-570

API-653

CSWIP 3.1 or 3.2

NACE or SSPC

  • Qualified as NDT Level II in penetrant testing, ultrasonic testing, and magnetic particle testing.

Qualifications:

  • Extensive experience in inspection and testing of static equipment and piping.
  • Strong expertise in NDT methods, welding inspections, and coatings.
  • Knowledgeable in Root Cause Analysis (RCA) and Risk-Based Inspection (RBI).
  • Proven ability to manage inspection records and ensure compliance with corporate standards.
