Technical Manager - NDT Level III

Position Summary:

The Technical Manager - NDT Level III is responsible for leading and supporting the non-destructive testing (NDT) functions within A-Star Group. Based in Porur, Chennai, this role requires an experienced engineering professional to provide technical support, manage quality assurance/control (QA/QC) processes, and oversee documentation related to advanced NDT practices. The position emphasizes leadership in NDT methodologies, particularly PAUT, and demands an immediate joiner with extensive industry experience.

Responsibilities:

Technical Leadership:

• Provide expert technical support in advanced NDT techniques and ensure adherence to industry standards.

QA/QC Management:

• Oversee the preparation, control, and continuous improvement of QA manuals and related documentation.

Operational Support:

• Offer technical assistance to both the operations and sales departments to ensure smooth project execution.

Documentation & Amendments:

• Manage all amendments and revisions to QA documentation and ensure effective control measures are in place.

Team Oversight:

• Guide and mentor the NDT team, ensuring that best practices are maintained across all projects.

Requirements:

• A minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in non-destructive testing (NDT).
• At least 4 to 6 years of experience in a QA/QC managerial role with a focus on documentation.
• Immediate availability for joining.

Qualifications:

• Must hold an ASNT Level 3 Certificate.
• Must have PAUT Level 2 Certification (PCN Level 2).
• Degree or Diploma in Engineering is required.
• Proficient in advanced NDT techniques and technical support functions, with a strong background in QA/QC.
