Apave, a global leader in the management of technical, environmental, human, and digital risks, has announced the acquisition of CND Service, a prominent Italian company specializing in non-destructive testing (NDT) and skills certification. This strategic move consolidates Apave’s footprint in Italy, enhancing its service portfolio and reinforcing its commitment to safety and quality.
CND Service: A Legacy of Excellence in Non-Destructive Testing
Established in 1979, CND Service has earned recognition as a trusted player in the electrical, aeronautical, industrial, and petrochemical sectors. With a skilled team of over 70 employees, the company provides an extensive suite of non-destructive testing services, including visual, ultrasound, radiography, magnetic, dye penetrant, thermography, and advanced techniques such as Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) and geo-radar analysis. Additionally, CND Service offers hardness and metal analysis, catering to diverse industrial needs across Italy.
Through its subsidiary TecnoLab, CND Service also performs destructive testing and post-heat treatment checks on large components, supported by specialized equipment, including a 26-meter-long oven. Its expertise in skills qualification and certification, particularly for the energy sector, aligns seamlessly with growing industry demands driven by technological transitions.
Enhancing Apave’s Capabilities in Italy
Apave’s strategic acquisition of CND Service represents a significant step in its expansion strategy. Since its entry into the Italian market in 1994 and the subsequent acquisition of Tecno Piemonte in 2021, Apave has steadily grown its geographical reach and technical expertise. With the integration of CND Service, the Group adds non-destructive testing to its portfolio, complementing its existing inspection, training, certification, and materials laboratory services.
