Bristow Instruments, an Edmonton-based leader in tool and aircraft instrument repair, has announced the opening of a new permanent location in Kelowna. The facility, located at 100-2092 Enterprise Way, will provide calibration and repair services for a range of precision equipment, including torque wrenches, pressure gauges, scales, precision tools, and crimpers.

In addition to these services, Bristow Instruments will also offer mobile non-destructive testing (NDT) through its sister company, Vision Inspection Services Canada (Vi-Scan). This expansion into Kelowna is a response to the growing demand for high-quality calibration services in the region.

“We recognize the growing need for high-quality calibration services in Kelowna and are proud to offer a local solution,” said Shaun Jones, associate director of business development at Bristow Instruments. “This new facility strengthens our ability to serve businesses with efficiency and expertise.”

Vi-Scan, which is headquartered at Calgary International Airport, identified the need for increased non-destructive testing services in Western Canada. The company plans to have its new Kelowna facility operational by this summer, providing liquid penetrant, ultrasonic, eddy current, radiographic, and magnetic particle inspection testing.

“The need for non-destructive testing in the Okanagan is growing as more businesses seek local, high-quality inspection services to meet aviation safety standards,” Jones added. “By combining Bristow’s expertise with Vi-Scan’s industry-leading NDT capabilities, we are strengthening our ability to deliver high-quality inspection and calibration services that keep aircraft operating safely and efficiently.”

With the opening of the Kelowna facility, Bristow Instruments is poised to enhance its service offering in the Okanagan region, providing essential maintenance and testing solutions for the aviation industry and other critical sectors.
