Eigen Innovations, a leader in AI-enabled industrial inspection, has successfully raised $2.6 million in its latest equity financing round, with participation from investors including Momenta Ventures and BDC Capital’s Women in Technology Venture Fund. This funding will propel Eigen’s AI-driven, thermal imaging solutions for automated, in-line inspection in manufacturing, targeting sectors such as plastics, metals, and building materials. The company aims to increase manufacturers’ ability to identify defects in real time and optimize production through digital records and scalable inspection models.
Strengthening the Board and Market Reach
Momenta Founding Partner Ken Forster joins Eigen’s board, bringing expertise to support Eigen’s scaling strategy in automated inspection. Jeff White, CEO of New Brunswick Innovation Foundation (NBIF), also joined Eigen’s board earlier this year, underscoring the organization’s commitment to pioneering manufacturing solutions that streamline quality control and enhance operational efficiency.
Eigen’s CEO Erin Barrett noted the importance of expanding access to robust, automated in-line inspection: “Our solutions are transforming the production landscape by delivering consistency and reliability where traditional methods fall short.”
Focus on Market Education and Demonstration
To demonstrate its technology’s potential, Eigen is developing portable demos to showcase real-time inspection capabilities during client visits and events. With updated application-specific case studies and a series of webinars, Eigen is focusing on educating manufacturers about the capabilities of thermal imaging combined with AI for a more reliable, automated inspection process.
