Element Materials Technology (Element), a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC) services, has announced its strategic acquisition of ISS Inspection Services, a prominent provider of non-destructive testing (NDT) and special process services. The acquisition is set to strengthen Element’s presence across the aerospace, energy, space, and defense sectors, expanding its service offering and geographic footprint in highly regulated industries.
Previously part of Industrial Service Solutions, ISS Inspection Services encompasses four well-known customer-facing brands: NIC Inspection Services, PTI Industries, PRO Inspection Services, and CTS Inspection Services. With a combined workforce of around 300 highly skilled employees, these brands serve nearly 1,000 customers across the aerospace, defense, energy, and space industries. Their services include advanced NDT capabilities and special process solutions such as precision cleaning and coatings.
The acquisition is part of Element’s strategic goal to broaden its expertise and service reach in the fast-growing after-market (AM) and maintenance, repair, and overhaul (MRO) subsectors, key areas of focus for both ISS and Element’s customers. The addition of ISS Inspection Services’ special process capabilities will also allow Element to offer an enhanced suite of services, making the company an even more vital partner to customers in safety-critical industries.

The acquisition builds on Element’s recent expansion efforts in the U.S., including its purchase of National Technical Systems (NTS) in September 2022. With the addition of ISS Inspection Services, Element continues to position itself as a key player in the U.S. market, which now accounts for over 60% of the company’s global operations.
