At the 20th World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing (WCNDT), the International Committee for NDT (ICNDT) and the International Institute of Welding (IIW) announced the extension of their Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for another five years. IIW CEO Luca Costa and the ICNDT Chair formalized the agreement, reaffirming their commitment to international cooperation and knowledge sharing in their respective fields.
The ICNDT, a non-profit organisation based in Vienna, Austria, is dedicated to the global advancement of Non-Destructive Testing (NDT). It works closely with individual NDT societies and recognised continental groups to promote NDT science and practices worldwide. The International Institute of Welding (IIW) focuses on the exchange of knowledge in welding and related technologies. As a not-for-profit organisation, the IIW represents the welding sectors of its member countries. The IIW’s collaborative platform includes researchers, industry professionals, educators, students, and young professionals from over 51 countries, promoting innovation and standardisation in welding technologies.
The renewal of the MOU highlights the ongoing collaboration between ICNDT and IIW. Both organisations are committed to advancing their fields through annual and interim meetings, technical networking, shared projects, events, publications, and online communications.
