Inspectioneering Training and the American Petroleum Institute (API) have announced the launch of the Mechanical Integrity Professional (MIP) Academy, a joint initiative aimed at advancing technical knowledge across the industry by providing top-tier online training courses and educational resources to mechanical integrity professionals.
With a focus on delivering world-class courses and meaningful programs that elevate industry standards, the MIP Academy is an extension of the existing Mechanical Integrity Professional initiative developed by Inspectioneering and API. According to Christopher Levy, VP at Inspectioneering Training, this new venture represents a major milestone in the evolution of mechanical integrity training: "We are thrilled about the caliber of these online courses and the creation of meaningful programs that advance our industry."
Offering on-demand courses ranging from 1 to 3 hours, the MIP Academy's courses are taught by subject matter experts in mechanical integrity who bring a wealth of domain expertise and industry experience to the table. Completion of these courses not only provides valuable insights into critical subjects but also earns Continuing Professional Development (CPD) hours that satisfy API's ICP recertification requirements.
All courses offered by the MIP Academy are carefully researched and jointly developed by Inspectioneering Training and API, ensuring they are relevant and provide the key foundational knowledge required by integrity professionals in the Oil & Gas and chemical processing industries. The Academy's initial offering includes four courses: Damage Mechanisms, Equipment Inclusion, NDE Technologies, and Pressure Relief Devices. Additional courses will be added to the Academy's offerings as they become available.
