Laser Photonics Corporation (LPC), a leader in industrial laser systems, has announced a significant sale to Acuren, one of the largest providers of nondestructive testing (NDT) services. This collaboration marks a key milestone for LPC as it expands its presence in the NDT market. As part of the agreement, LPC will deliver its advanced CleanTech Industrial Roughening Laser 3050 (CTIR-3050) to Acuren’s U.S. operations, with further plans for an ongoing partnership.

The CTIR-3050, LPC’s most powerful handheld laser system, is designed for heavy-duty surface treatment applications, including corrosion removal. By adopting LPC’s innovative laser technology, Acuren aims to enhance its asset protection services, which span across multiple industries such as oil and gas, aerospace, automotive, nuclear power, and renewable energy. Acuren is known for its wide range of NDT services, including radiographic and ultrasonic testing, ground penetrating radar, infrared thermography, and rope access technology.

“This partnership with Acuren is a major achievement for Laser Photonics as we venture deeper into the nondestructive testing sector,” said Wayne Tupuola, CEO of LPC. “Our laser surface treatment technology provides a sustainable and highly efficient solution for corrosion removal and infrastructure maintenance.”

The companies are also working on a partnership agreement that could see LPC becoming a preferred supplier for Acuren’s future purchasing programs. This collaboration will allow Acuren to streamline its research and development processes and further customize LPC’s products to meet specific industry needs.

Acuren’s reputation as a leading inspection services provider, coupled with LPC’s innovative laser solutions, positions both companies for continued growth in the NDT field. The partnership is expected to open new opportunities for product development, customization, and expanded service offerings, benefiting clients across various sectors that rely on critical infrastructure maintenance and safety.

With this agreement, LPC strengthens its foothold in the North American market, bringing cutting-edge laser technology to a wider audience of industry professionals while enhancing the operational efficiency of Acuren’s NDT services.
