Maverick Aviation Group Limited ("Maverick" or the "Company") has announced the acquisition of Vision Inspection Services Canada Inc. ("Vi-Scan"), a premier provider of non-destructive testing ("NDT") services in Canada. The strategic move aims to bolster Maverick’s capabilities and extend its footprint across Western Canada.
Vi-Scan, headquartered at Calgary International Airport, has earned a strong reputation for its expertise in NDT, recognized for its rapid response times, high service quality, and competitive pricing. With this acquisition, Maverick intends to enhance Vi-Scan’s operational reach and technical proficiency, reinforcing its commitment to aviation safety and service excellence.

This acquisition further strengthens Maverick’s service offerings, complementing its recent expansion through Bristow Instruments (1977) Ltd. into Kelowna, British Columbia. The company now provides localized NDT and tool calibration services at Edmonton International Airport (YEG), Calgary International Airport (YYC), and Kelowna International Airport (YLW), with further expansion plans underway.
Maverick expressed appreciation to Cassels Brock & Blackwell LLP for their legal advisory and transaction support. Chris Sutton of Sutton Group served as the transaction advisor to Vi-Scan, while Mark Fletcher of Fletcher Law provided legal counsel to the selling shareholders, Susan Yeo and Dani Sutton.
The integration of Vi-Scan under Maverick’s portfolio is expected to fortify its position in the aviation maintenance sector, ensuring continued operational excellence and regulatory compliance in non-destructive testing services across the region.
