MISTRAS Group, Inc. (NYSE: MG), a global leader in integrated technology-enabled asset protection solutions, has announced the appointment of Natalia Shuman as its new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO), effective January 1, 2025.
Ms. Shuman brings over two decades of leadership experience to MISTRAS Group, with a distinguished career in the Testing, Inspection, and Certification (TIC) industry. She succeeds Manuel (Manny) N. Stamatakis, who has been serving as Interim CEO and Executive Chairman of the Board since October 2023. Mr. Stamatakis will continue as Executive Chairman, providing strategic oversight and support.
Strategic Leadership and Proven Expertise
Ms. Shuman has held senior executive roles at globally recognized organizations. Most recently, as Group Executive Vice President and Group Operating Council Member for Eurofins Scientific, she oversaw 12,000 employees, driving operational excellence, innovation, and growth strategies. She is widely recognized for her ability to scale billion-dollar enterprises through organic growth and mergers and acquisitions (M&A) while fostering strong teams and delivering value-driven solutions.

Ms. Shuman will lead MISTRAS Group into its next phase of growth, building on the company’s solid foundation in asset protection services across industries such as manufacturing, energy, chemicals, pharmaceuticals, construction, and industrial services.

Ms. Shuman’s previous experience includes her tenure as North American CEO for Bureau Veritas, where she led 7,000 employees across 130 offices and laboratories in the U.S., Canada, and Mexico. Under her leadership, Bureau Veritas underwent significant growth, transforming into a diversified and resilient business with a unified company culture.
Prior to Bureau Veritas, Ms. Shuman held leadership roles at Kelly Services, a global human resources and staffing company, where she successfully led international business operations. Beyond her business achievements, Ms. Shuman is recognized for her advocacy for diversity and inclusion, earning accolades from prominent organizations for her efforts.
Ms. Shuman holds a dual Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Columbia Business School and London Business School, reflecting her global perspective and expertise.
