RANCHO CUCAMONGA, Calif--RMA Companies today announced that it had acquired PRI Group, a leading provider of testing, validation, product development, and certification services to the transportation, asphalt, and building materials end-markets. Since December 2021, RMA has completed six acquisitions as it executes an aggressive growth strategy to build a national platform for testing and inspection services. Transaction terms were not disclosed.
PRI- founded in 1990, provides independent third-party testing, evaluation, and other technical services for several critical infrastructure end-markets, including transportation, asphalt/bitumen, building materials, chemical, and energy. Through these services, PRI helps its clients validate, test, and certify the materials and products used in infrastructure and construction projects. PRI’s scientists, engineers, and technicians operate from two highly accredited, state-of-the-art laboratory facilities in Florida, Tampa, and Munster, Indiana. They are trained in over 1,000 normative standards, ASTM, AASHTO, ISO, and governmental test methods.
PRI’s Asphalt Technologies business provides accredited evaluation, testing, and technical services to the industry from asphalt derivation through its lifecycle of use in roofing, paving, and industrial products, helping clients meet increasing technical requirements. PRI’s Construction Materials business provides accredited testing, inspection, and product certification services for building materials, including fenestrations, roof coverings, glass, claddings, adhesives & sealants, paints & coatings,, and thermal insulations. PRI’s building envelope services help clients comply with evolving building codes driven by sustainability and climate resilience trends in the built environment.
