NDTSS will host the 22nd World Conference on Non-Destructive Testing in 2032. This decision was made during the 44th General Assembly of the International Committee for Non-Destructive Testing (ICNDT) in Incheon, Korea, on May 30, 2024. Singapore competed against the USA (Las Vegas), the UK (Edinburgh), India (Mumbai), South Africa (Cape Town), and Hungary (Budapest).

The conference will bring together experts from around the world to discuss advancements in non-destructive testing techniques and technologies. Singapore's reputation as a global hub for innovation and technology played a significant role in securing the bid to host the prestigious event. The ICNDT General Assembly is expected to attract over 1,000 attendees from various industries and academia. This event will provide a platform for networking, knowledge sharing, and collaboration in the field of non-destructive testing. The winner needed over 50% of the votes. After several rounds of closed ballots, Singapore won in round five against Hungary (Budapest). Singapore's victory in hosting the conference highlights its growing influence in the field of non-destructive testing. The event is expected to attract top professionals and researchers in the industry, further solidifying Singapore's position as a key player in technological advancements.

WCNDT is a top event for showcasing research, technology, and development in this field. Over 3000 participants, 1000 technical presentations, and 250 exhibitors from around the world are expected. Winning against major countries is a big deal for Singapore. This success came from the strong teamwork between the Non-Destructive Testing Society Singapore (NDTSS), the local research and industry community, and the Singapore Tourism Board (STB). This collaboration has not only raised Singapore's profile in the industry but has also created valuable networking opportunities for professionals and researchers. The continued success of WCNDT in Singapore will undoubtedly attract even more international participation and recognition in the future.
