Singapore competed against the USA (Las Vegas), the UK (Edinburgh), India (Mumbai), South Africa (Cape Town), and Hungary (Budapest).

Singapore's reputation as a global hub for innovation and technology played a significant role in securing the bid to host the prestigious event. The ICNDT General Assembly is expected to attract over 1,000 attendees from various industries and academia. After several rounds of closed ballots, Singapore won in round five against Hungary (Budapest).
