Sonomatic, a leader in robotic inspection technology, has successfully completed the first-ever robotic Flex Joint inspection in Guyana, in collaboration with ExxonMobil Guyana. The groundbreaking project utilized Sonomatic's advanced E-CAP Stingray robotic crawler to carry out the inspection on ExxonMobil Guyana's Liza Destiny FPSO.

The operation involved cleaning and performing 3D photogrammetry of a Flex Joint, a critical component in offshore oil and gas infrastructure. Despite facing challenging metocean conditions, the inspection was executed entirely through remote robotic methods, showcasing the capability of advanced robotics to enhance safety and operational efficiency in offshore environments.

ExxonMobil Guyana's commitment to safety and excellence played a crucial role in the success of this project. Sonomatic expressed pride in contributing to this significant milestone and anticipates further advancements in robotic inspections to continue improving the offshore industry.
