SPIE, the independent European leader in multi-technical services in energy and communications, has announced the acquisition of 100% of ABC, ETC, and SIRAC, collectively known as GIE HORUS. These companies are leaders in non-destructive testing and inspections within the nuclear industry.
GIE HORUS, comprising ABC, ETC, and SIRAC, specializes in radiographic, ultrasonic, penetrant testing, and magnetic particle inspection, employing over 300 qualified professionals across France. In 2023, the trio generated nearly €35 million in revenue. This strategic acquisition enhances SPIE's expertise in nuclear site maintenance, aligning with the anticipated development of new nuclear reactors (EPR2) and the extension of existing plant lifespans, which are expected to drive growth in inspection and maintenance activities over the coming decades.
