Cowley College recently hosted representatives from Vermillion Inc., a renowned provider of custom cables and shielding solutions for military and aerospace applications, to explore potential collaboration opportunities. The visit focused on knowledge exchange in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and strengthening ties between education and industry.
During the visit, Vermillion’s team met with Cowley’s new NDT instructor, Samy Perez, a veteran of the industry with over a decade of experience, including notable work with Shell and NASA. Perez shared best practices for inspecting nickel-plated components, emphasizing the importance of maintaining stringent quality standards.
The discussions covered potential training programs for Vermillion’s inspectors and job placement pathways for Cowley graduates, underscoring the collaboration’s potential to equip the next generation of NDT professionals with essential skills and industry readiness.
