Fundamentals of Pressure Vessel Design in Accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1
In this webinar, a practical case study will be presented.
Velosi is conducting a free webinar on "Fundamentals of Pressure Vessel Design in Accordance with ASME Section VIII Div. 1" on Saturday, 12th Dec 2020 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm GST.
Learning Objectives:
Pressure vessels are containers designed to hold liquids, vapors or gases at high pressures, usually above 15 psig. Common examples in the petroleum refining and chemical processing industries include columns, heat exchangers and boilers.
Pressure vessels can be dangerous if not designed, constructed, maintained or inspected properly. Most pressure vessels operating in industries today are designed according to the ASME BPVC Section VIII which consists of standard codes & rules that a manufacturer is required to follow.
In this webinar, a practical case study will be presented covering the following key aspects:
• Structure of the ASME Section VIII Div.1.
• Application of code in designing and calculating main components of pressure vessels.
• Basic understanding of design specifications, design reports and datasheets.
