About our speakers

Marianne Walters:

Marianne Walters is the Applications Team Lead at Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science located in Westford, MA. Her current role allows her to use her expertise in X-Ray Fluorescence (XRF), Laser Induced Breakdown Spectroscopy (LIBS), as well as her academic studies to optimize customer-driven applications, find logical solutions to PMI inspection and quality control, and run demonstrations and trainings both in the office and on site with customers. Marianne holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering with a Concentration in Manufacturing from Boston University.


Frank Theuws

Frank Theuws is General Manager for Global OES Distribution of Hitachi High-Tech Analytical Science. With over 30 years of global experience in Optical Emission Spectroscopy, Frank has an strong understanding of customer needs and future analytical requirements. He has also previously worked in the applications and method development teams and has astute knowledge of the technology in this field of metal and non-metal industry.
