Since 1988, CONTROLE MESURE SYSTEMES (CMS) has been pioneering the development and production of innovative inspection solutions utilizing Eddy Current and Ultrasonic technologies. Headquartered in France, CMS has effectively built its international recognition and established a strong presence in the Non-Destructive Testing market.

What makes CMS systems special?

  • Complete design and manufacture of the entire inspection solution
  • Tailor-made systems according to customers quality control needs and constraints
  • Turnkey inspection solutions adaptable to many semi-finished products (tubes, bars, wires, plates, billets, rails, precision parts, etc.)
  • Complete solutions created by CMS with mechanics and electronics
  • Wide range of high-performance systems including electronic instruments, rotating systems, magnetizing units, sensors, probes, accessories allowing the detection of several defects: surface, sub-surface, internal, external, short, transverse, longitudinal…

CMS is also capable of inspecting the welds on ERW tubes (diameter range from 5 to 300 mm), thanks to a special Eddy Current system, the sectorial magnetizing unit. The welded rolled tube passes through the sectorial magnetizing system, incorporating a sectorial probe that follows the tube surface. Inspection speed is unlimited, and the system integrates easily into the production line, enhancing quality inspection. If the presence of a defect in the weld zone (such as holes, cracks, longitudinal defects, open or interrupted welds, etc.) is detected, the coil impedance will vary, triggering a real-time signal on the control screen

CMS manufactures turnkey solutions, supplying all mechanical and electrical parts. Inspection results are displayed on the instrument screen in a time base and/or impedance map, with real-time alarm management. At the end of the inspection, a complete, customized report is produced, including extensive information on the defects detected.

These services provide added value for our customers, ensuring better analysis and traceability of the inspection.

All customers, whatever their industrial sector, are encouraged to reinforce their internal quality controls. To ensure full compliance with key international and European standards (ASTM, API, DIN, SEP, etc.), customers naturally turn to CMS to develop a customized solution that considers its production constraints.

The CMS and SOFRATEST teams look forward to seeing you at numerous trade fairs around the world in the coming months. We will showcase a wide range of NDT products for tubes inspection and much more:
